An Angry Casey

When describing a visual for this piece i do indeed see an angry yet curious girl sitting & leaning off of a wall with no hesitation of falling or slipping off. She seems to have a good stance & grip although on top of a high source. I also see a posting fence in the background with what looks like tumble weeds & outlines of trees. The composition for this work i find to be better than what i intended it to be. The placement of the girl & where the post from the fence stand i find to compliment each other. The subject i stayed upon while taking this shot was the focus & placement of the character's body including her locked arms, knees, and her hair. I asked the model to move her air to the opposing side of the shot to get a good look at the features on her face. I am thankful for the instruction of my guider because she allowed me to play with depth of field in this picture and although it only shows the trees out of focus it really helps with the feel of this shot. With both anger & curiosity as well as endearment being communicated through this photo, for myself & perhaps many other viewers there is a sense of confusion in the model's eyes and the whole expression of her face. This can be explained since i did not inform the model of the exact time i was taking the photo. To be my own critic, i wish i could of made more contrast with blacks and whites to have less gray shades. However i find this work of mine to be successful, fore that i do enjoy the overall feeling of this print as well as the placement shown.
