Stop Motion

In this image there appears to be a white truck in motion moving north on a neighborly avenue. From the point of where the photo was taken the truck is in the act of moving in the opposite direction. Also in this picture I see two other white veichles and a city trash bin as well as a couple tree which reside in the distance. The truck is the main orgin of this work. This picture was intended to be a figurative piece and not an abstract one. I really do think this image when it comes to the tones found within it. I had used a filter on this print and it truly allowed me to separate the black and whites from each other and left very little in between tones. Everything in this photo was intentionally put in focus to show the stop motion shown on the white truck. Communication is not a big subject on this photo either, I mainly wanted to focus on the stop action of the fronted truck to protray movement. This photo can be taken as a light or dark manner, it does not matter much as to which. This photo was taken outside on Boise Avenue.

Sprinkle

It might take awhile, but this is of a lawn being water by a traditional sprinkler. The water drops are frozen in motion and show up as white drops on the print. In the fore ground of the right corner you can see a blurred image which was a plant that is obviously out of focus. This work was meant to be interepted as a figurative and not an abstract one. As for the organization of this photo, I cannot say that I like it or that Iam proud of it. The droplets amaze me but as for the rest of this photo according to placement I certainly do not like it too much. There are too many in between tones and not enough distingush between whites as well as blacks. The majority of this photo is in focus which I did indeed intend. My thought of taking this photo was to show the movement of the droplets coming out of the sprinkler. There was not a full drawn out story as to why I have captured this image. I was mainly focused on the movement. This image was taken outside on my lawn on a partly cloudly day.

Beauty

What we have here are two plumaria flowers of which coming from the same plant. The two flowers are the closest and are practically the only objects in this photo. In you background some object which seems to be a large tree or bush are seen but in a black and other dark tones. This work was meant to be figurative and not abstract. Within this picture nothing is truly centered which was not the intended plan but was neither what I did not want. I enjoy the contrast found in this photo. If Iam remembering correctly I had used a filter on this because the shot was overexposed. The blurriness in the background was intended, with this prinicple the flowers are allowed to stand out more. As for communication, I wanted to protray the beauty of these two blossoming plumarias. I honestly do think that this picture has its darks and its lights, but overall should be seen in a light manner. This photo was taken outside in my front yard.

Why me?

Once again, this picture shows of a young lady who is seated upon rock on the sea's coast line. The model, Joanna being the closest object in the photo is fore shadowed by the rock at Sunset Cliffs.

Ponder

After more than a few glances, this photo shows a young girl situated in the center of the photo as well as upon a rock near the sea's rocky shore. This bright young girl is shown looking off in the distance where the ocean lays and sways. Sitting up straight, the girl has her left foot planted on the sturdy rock shown in the bottom portion of this picture and also has her left hand resting upon her knee and droops downward to show no tense or strength in her hand. As the photographer and probably by just studying the picture this work was meant to be figurative. Overall it is conveying the effect of relaxation the sea has on us and how beautiful the scenery of beach can be. As for organization i placed my friend here, the young girl, Joanna in the center to emphasize her reaction to the environment surrounding her. Along with no intention the curve of the shore's rock swoops around her head which, I think give the overall upper half of the photo a nice shape and balance. This image is in focus which was indeed intended with the background with the art of depth of field which was also my intention. with the background blurred and out of focus it gives more direction to Joanna and the feelings she might portray. During this shoot i intended this picture to give off the feeling of relaxation and peace. Here Joanna looks to be at ease but also seem to be enjoying the sea's comfort. Iam sure that this photo can be taken as dark or light but as the photographer I intended for this photo to give off a feeling of lightness. This photo was taken outdoors, around sunset at Ocean Beach's sunset cliffs on a partly cloudy Sunday afternoon.
